• Second behind Harbinger at York now reads well • Bordelescott can warm up for the Nunthorpe with a win Age Of Aquarius (3.25) narrowly came up short against Rite Of Passage at Royal Ascot but has obvious prospects of tasting victory for the first time in more than a year in tomorrow’s Artemis Goodwood Cup. Given the rest of the year off after chasing home Cavalryman in the Grand Prix de Paris last July, he shaped with plenty of promise on his first start this season, when chasing home Harbinger at Chester, a battle which – with hindsight – he had precious little chance of winning. Slightly disappointing when beaten by Profound Beauty afterwards, he showed that staying was his game when kicking clear five furlongs out in Royal Ascot’s Gold Cup last month, maintaining an advantage all the way up the home straight until Rite Of Passage finally managed to get past close home.
